I fell off the blog wagon!

Please forgive me fellow scrappers it has been 15 days since my last blog. Yes, I do feel like I am confessing a sin. I have these great plans to post to my blog on a regular basis. You know keep you all up to date on what's going on and what coming up. So here goes my update for you all...

It's already mid-July and I have my kits ready for the month. August and September are figured out, on order and good to go... I hope. I'm already planning for September and October. I can't believe I admitted that out loud. And coming up later this month I get to scrapbook. Yup, I actually get to enjoy the hobby that I promote so enthusiastically. I have found that since I started my business ( a mere 18 months ago) that I spend more time researching products and techniques for my business than I do actually scrapbooking. Not that I mind. I really love to share scrapbooking and card design with others. There is nothing better than helping someone who says "I can't do that. I'm not creative."

And tomorrow is an exciting day for me. Some of you know that I have been on Insulin Pump Therapy for about seven years and that I have been a diabetic since I was sixteen. I won't tell you how many years that has been. A girl has to keep some secrets to her self. Anyways, tomorrow I get my new pump. And the improvements and new features on this machine make my current archaic. Well, I guess by computer standards seven years is pretty much the dinosaur era. Well, my new pump is purple. I figure give me a few more years and I can join the red hat society and my purple and red will be in place.

I really wish that every diabetic had the opportunity to use pump therapy. Yes it does take a bit of work to get it set up and to understand how it works and how your body uses each unit of insulin, but the advantages are amazing. And I'm not just talking about glucose control and future health issues. I am talking about real life- having the flexibility to enjoy your children's birthday cake with them, having a late dinner with your husband, sleeping in on a Sunday morning. If you are a diabetic or there is a diabetic in your life who uses insulin injections then you may want to research pump therapy. www.minimed.ca

Enjoy the summer weather and I promise it won't take me 2 weeks to do my next post. After all I have to update you on my new insulin pump and how I'm doing with it.
