Very Few Kit Clubs for Card Makers

So I have been thinking and researching (of course) and I have noticed that there are very few kit clubs designed specifically for cardmaking. So I have decided that I need to do something about that. I have the first kits on order for a new kit club -"It's all in the cards!"

Each kit will include tons of product for your wonderful card creations. Plus two card design layouts complete with sample cards showcasing each months products. Kits will include cardstock, envelopes, and many embellishments. If you are a card maker you will love this kit club.

I will release the full information about pricing and membership in the July Newsletter. The first kits will be available August 15th. Reserve yours today! Remember only a certain number are produced each month and once they are gone, they are gone.

Wow, what a weekend!

First, I want to thank everyone that attended the 2nd Annual 2-day crop. I had a great time. I hope you all did as well. For those of you who couldn't attend boy did you miss a great time and a ton of door prizes. I can't remember the last time I sat around and laughed so much. I even managed to create a thing or two. Although I am pretty sure I gave most of my best ideas to other people for their pages.

I think everyone who attended received at least two prizes and they were good prizes (if I do say so myself). Here's a quick rundown of what some people won. Bazzill gate-fold albums, boxes of Prima flowers, Queen & Co cases filled with goodies, paper packs, ribbon, and so much more. On top of that everyone received a supply of goodies. We had loonie draws and two contests.

The creativity for the contests was unbelievable. For the first contest each person was asked to decorate a butterfly. Congratulations to Susan for winning the book "What to Write".
The second contest was to decorate a sun visor. Congratulations for Shannon for winning the Fiskars Card Emboss kit.
The picture shows some of the butterflies and visors. But, it really doesn't represent exactly how fantastic the final projects were. Now to come up with something even better for next year.

Of course the chocolate fountain was flowing on Saturday afternoon. Did you know that just about everything tastes phenomenal when it is dipped in chocolate? Pretzels, marshmallows, cookies, fruit, rice crispy squares, cream puffs........

For everyone who couldn't attend. Sorry you missed a fantastic time. You will definitely need t plan this event in for next June. And again to everyone who was there thank you for attending and keep being the wonderfully creative people you are. Oh, and tell everyone one you know about the great time you had.
PS - Continue to check my blog I will be unveiling a great new program later in July.

Didn't Make It To My Card Class?

This is what you missed.

I just wanted to show everyone what a few of my creations for the class looked like.

This was a fun card. I used Lil Davis Glitter Glaze (it doesn't show very well in the photo), which gave a really neat effect on the white paper. And everyone got a great lesson is using their trimmers for measuring and scoring folds.

Yet another card. I have to admit even though the colour wheel puts orange and blue a complementary colours I am usually hesitant to use them. But I love the way it looks on this card. Fancy pants paper, DCWV ribbon and cardstock and then a Bazzill Chip Topper, which I very rarely put on a chip. I tend to mat and then mount on the card. This time we use foam pop dots. I really like the simplicity and clean design of this card.

The third card created for the class. A simple quick card with a masculine look. Feminine cards are much easier to create so I always try to do at least one masculine looking card. This one features Bazzill Horizon cardstock and Scenic Route papers.

The fourth card is shown below. And I won't waste time posting the 5th card as it doesn't photograph very well. But if your curious about future cards you'll either have to attend a class or check my blog and gallery for updates.

Keep creating and I'll have updates soon.
